Dr. Bahia Al-Salihi Ohlsen
Dr. Bahia Al-Salihi Ohlsen is a licensed Chiropractor, YogaAlliance Registered Yoga Teacher, and trained Acupuncturist.
Dr. Bahia Ohlsen is a graduate of the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois. She received her bachelor of science in Human Biology and her master of science in Advanced Clinical Practice. She earned a master's degree in Business Administration from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. Dr. Ohlsen is trained in the practice of acupuncture. In addition, she is a YogaAlliance certified Registered Yoga Teacher.
In practice since 1992, Dr. Ohlsen has completed 100 hours of continuing medical education in Sports Medicine, 200 hours in Orthopedics and over 300 hours in Acupuncture. Dr. Ohlsen is currently enrolled at the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine studying towards a Master of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, with the goal of taking the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) examination.
For 10 years Dr. Ohlsen worked in a fitness center helping patients overcome musculoskeletal injuries through chiropractic, massage therapy and exercise. Dr. Ohlsen is certified as a Health Fitness Instructor by the American College of Sports Medicine. She has taught group exercise aerobic and strengthening classes, in addition to yoga, extensively. Dr. Ohlsen was also certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and performed massage therapy for rehabilitation and lymphatic drainage for post-surgical patients.
